Locks of Love
Today, Ashley my oldest daughter (5) is getting a hair cut.
She decided that she wanted to cut her hair and donate it to cancer kids after she had heard there are kids that lose their hair when they get really sick.
She’s never had a full hair cut since she was born, just trims to keep it healthy. So, to part with the majority of her hair, hair she has had her entire life seems like a big deal for a kid of 5 to decide.
It’s witnessing selfless acts like this from one of your own that make all the sacrifices parents must make in order to have a family, worth while. While it may be a fairly small act, it speaks volumes about what kind of a person Ashley is growing into.
